VEDIC ASTROLOGY AN INTRODUCTION
In the night sky, we can see many stars, planets, galaxies, and the Milky Way. In the night sky and in the daytime, we can see the sun. Vedic astrology is a combination of these stars, planets, the sun, and the moon. In the galaxy, there are 12 partitions – houses in the sky for these celestial bodies.

those things as day, night, days, months, years, and eras. These are all
based on the movement of the sun and the moon. They are as follows

YUGHAM - THE ERAS
In Hinduism, a Yuga is a term that
refers to a period of time. The cycle of creation and destruction is referred
to as time. According to Hindu dharma, time is infinite and divided into four Yugas
that run in parallel without interruption.
CHATHUR YUGAM - FOUR YUGAS
1. KRODHA YUGAM
2. THRIYEDHA YUGAM
3. DWAPARA YUGAM
4. KALI YUGAM
The Hindu deity named “Bhoologanathan” is the main reason for the Chathur
Yugam. The Chathur Yugam is calculated as per Bhoologanathan’s one breath.
A human can breathe 21,600 times a
day. It consists of a day and a night. This one day is Bhoologanathan’s one
breath. So, our 21,600 days is his one day. That Bhoologanathan’s one day is
our 60 years.
CHATHUR YUGAM
The combination of the four Yugas is
called Chathur Yugam. It consists of 43, 20,000 years.
1. KRODHA YUGAM
This Krodha Yugam is calculated as
follows
21,600 years * 80 = 17, 28,000
years
So, Krodha Yugam consists of 17,
28,000 years.
2. THRIYEDHA YUGAM
This Thriyedha Yugam is calculated as
follows
21,600 years * 60 = 12, 96,000
years
So, Thriyedha Yugam consists of 12,
96,000 years.
3. DWAPARA YUGAM
This Dwapara Yugam is calculated as
follows
21,600 years * 40 = 8, 64,000
years
So, Thriyedha Yugam consists of 8,
64,000 years.
4. KALI YUGAM
This Kali Yugam is calculated as
follows
21,600 years * 20 = 4, 32,000
years
So, Kali Yugam consists of 4, 32,000
years.
