About Temple

The Azhagiyasingar temple is roughly 0.5 acres in size (0.20 hectares). The temple is encircled by stone walls and is encased in a rectangular enclosure. The picture of the presiding god, Sri Azhagiyasingar, is located in the centre. Sri Lakshmi is placed on his lap on the right side of the granite figure, which is in a sitting posture.

The depiction of Sri Lakshmi on Sri Narasimhar temples is generally sculpted on the left side, hence this pose is unusual. Sri Thiruvali Nagaralan is the name of the festival deity, and his image is also kept in the sanctuary.

Outside the temple walls, opposite the Garuda Mandapam, is a Thirumangai Azhwar shrine facing south.

The figure of Narasimha in the temple is thought to be one of the five original Sri Narasimha images worshipped by Thirumangai Azhwar. Outside the compound wall, the temple mast, Garuda's shrine, and a four-pillared hall are placed axially to the sanctum. 1000 - 2000 years old temple

Specialities

Despite the fact that Thiruvaali and Thirunagari are just approximately 3 miles apart, they are considered as a single Divyadesam. Same Mangalasanam for these two temples.

About Temple

Nine large gopuram entrances connect the temple's different courtyards. Four of them are enormous and colourful, visible from distance, and serve as a symbolic and useful landmark for pilgrims.

Each of these gopurams, or gateway towers, has seven floors facing East, South, West, and North. The first four gopuram superstructures were most likely constructed between 1150 and 1300 CE. The western gopuram, which is also the smallest of the four, was most likely the first.

Sri Govindaraja shrine is one of the 108 sacred temples of Vishnu known as divyadesam, which are worshipped by Alwars, Vaishnava saint poets from the 7th to 9th centuries.

This temple is referred to as Tillai Chitrakutam by Kulashekhara Alwar, who associates Chitrakuta of the Ramayana with this shrine. The shrine has ties to Tirupati's Govindaraja temple, which date back to the 11th and 12th centuries and saint Ramanuja.1000 – 2000 years old temple.

Specialities

The significant feature of this temple is that this Perumal's sannathi is held within the grounds of Lord Shiva's temple. That, too, is close to the Sri Natarajar sannathi.
